I came across some other pictures from before my surgery that I wanted to share.

Some of these are pictures of myself with various celebrities that I was fortunate enough to get to meet.  Others are from events like fashion shows that I either produced, or was in.  They are examples of opportunities that I had to fight myself to take advantage of.  It's hard to go meet someone you look up to, feeling terrible about yourself.  It's harder to walk around with a bunch of gorgeous models when you can't even look in the mirror.  To think of how many opportunities I DID let pass me by... well it's just more evidence that life is short, and don't let anything stand in the way of you enjoying it!!!  Every chance I have taken, before AND after my time in the house has paid off in memories that I will cherish forever, and now I get to share them with you!

I got to kiss J.R. Ewing! :)

This picture of myself and Larry Hagman is from a charity event I helped put on for Women in Film Dallas.  We honored Larry and I was fortunate enough to spend plenty of time with him!  From 'Dallas' to 'I Dream of Jeannie,' this is a man I have grown up watching, and it was a real honor to get to know him!

I cannot believe he let me sit in his lap!

When Larry offered to take a picture with me in his lap, my first thought was - NO WAY, I'll break him!  I perched precariously on his legs so I could have the picture, but I will never forget how I almost let this opportunity pass me by because of my self consciousness.

Harry Dean Stanton

Harry Dean was just recently on 'Two and a Half Men,' but most of us know him from 'Preety in Pink' with Molly Ringwald, and 'Alien.'  He was so friendly and extremely talkative!  And I'm thinking he hasn't aged in 20 years, since he filmed 'Pretty in Pink!'

Harry Dean was in town for the Deep Ellum Film Festival.

9021-Oh my gosh! It's Jason Priestley!!

Jason was also in town for the Deep Ellum Film Festival here in Dallas.  I was way too nervous to talk to him on my own, so I was hanging out by the bar area where my friend Jessica just happened to be working that night!  Needing to escape from reporters and fans and in need of a little quiet time, Jason happened to look up from the crowd near the bar to see me standing alone.  He made his way through the melee and came over to say hi.  My cousin had worked on the set of 90210 for years, so we ended up having something to talk about!  15 minutes later, his publicist came and stole him away to go mingle, but the girls working the party reported back that I had gotten the most face time with him!  :)  He's such a sweet guy, and so down to Earth.  I was soooo excited to have gotten to spend any time with him at all!!! :)

Billy Bob Thornton kickin' it with my friend Sarah and I!

I went down to Austin, TX to visit one of my actor's who was shooting the movie 'Alamo'.  Some of my other friends down there met us out, and we got to meet Billy that night.  He is actually one of the nicest, most charming celebrities I have ever met, and every weekend for the rest of the shoot I went back down to Austin to hang out with everyone, and Billy ALWAYS remembered my name, and asked after my other friends that he had met!  With as many people as he meets, I thought that was amazing!  He introduced me to an amazing band that still performs down in Austin a lot, and Stubbs BBQ!  He was extremely open with me, talking about all sorts of things, and I have to say, I was surprised at his friendliness!  Billy- if you ever read this, you are awesome!

Jason Patric and I - Wow, what a hottie!! :)

Even though I only got to hang out with Jason on this one night (he had a lot of friends and his girlfriend with him on the shoot that he spent his time with), he made sure to make me feel very welcome.  When he was getting ready to leave with his girlfriend, he even made a point to come over and say good bye to me!  He is a very shy, private guy who really seemed to be very loyal and down to earth.  He was wearing some authentic Texas wear (his words) and was very proud to be having so much fun here in Texas!!

Me, Lauren, Peter, and Sam - Blairview Crew 2003!

Until I made the decision to have the Gastic Bypass (and move home so I could save money for it), I was living at Peter's house.  He was one of our models and I remember when I went to meet him, and see the house before moving in, I was afraid he wouldn't want me to live there because I wasn't a model.  Samantha (Sam) is another model who also lived with me, and Lauren, my friend since 6th grade, also lived with us for awhile.  This is a pic at one of our parties of what we refered to as the 'Blairview Crew!'

Hunter and I

Another great friend whom I met while working at Kim Dawson.  Hunter always had somewhere fun and exciting to go to, and he always had beautiful friends.  Sometimes I was able to talk myself into going with them, sometimes I was feeling too sorry for myself to go.  Yet another way I held myself prisoner....

Kim, Emily, Jessica and I with Ron Eldard

We were all in New York for Jessica's Bachelorette Party and we were ready to spot the stars walking among the masses!  :)  Ron Eldard (most recently of the new series 'Blind Justice') was hanging out with some friends on the street and when he noticed one of my friends trying to sneak a picture of him, he laughed and said that if we wanted one, we were more than welcome to take one with him.  It was actually a very nice gesture since he was with friends talking.  Very nice guy, very nice friends, and I hope this new series does him well-- he deserves it!
